According to this article by Cision there are numerous content driven startups. In this story they are talking about journalists who left the waters of the classic publishing and moved over to something new.
Being an owner of a content driven startup I am safe to assume that they are headed in the right direction. As long as there are needs that are being scratched and people willing to pay money for your writing, there is a chance of running a stable content driven business.
There is especially interesting allure, that these aren’t corporate backed mass media mindset maniuplators. There is an urgency in plunging off from the grid of the informational nutrition, that feeds everybody with equal information. That way you get programmed to think like everybody else.
It is time to move out of the comfort zone of the traditional media, try new media instead. Stop being served with ads in the process and sponsored content as well. Or at least diminish its influence.
