Building audience is extremely hard endeavor. Especially when you are scatter minded like myself. I am interested into so many different things, and I just can’t hyper focus on one area of interest. It is utterly boring to keep talking about one single thing for an extended period of time.

I don’t know how some people do it, but it is a lesson in perseverance. You keep going down one path, and eventually people get to associate you with a particular topic. Perhaps I’ve been doing this successfully on my LinkedIn, but not on Twitter as my go-to platform.

I can say I am quite grateful that I have a nice audience that is keeping up with me consistently. But also this kept me off the radar from people whose attention is something that I could be translating into business revenue.

It is important to recognize that most of the time, you can be your own worst enemy when it comes to audience creation and building your brand. If I did more planning, I would have done a much better job at growing our mailing list and connections that make financial sense.
