Bringing Content Back Home
December 28. 2015 by Bojan
Your own website needs to be your personal hub. In a sense that is the only platform that you control. Everything else is your embassy. Therefore, instead of leaving my hard earned social capital elsewhere, it is time to focus all of my social activity back to my own domain.
It is a subtle shit, but a meaningful one. As it leaves me enough power to move the desired user experience, and allows me to reach more people, as it is becoming platform agnostic. Or rather calling it platform agnostic, maybe I can define it as a new platform itself.
Instead of feeding the Instagram feed, I can publish these photos to my own website. Instead of publishing endless social media updates on the home turf of Twitter, I can actually leave it as a part of my own platform. Think that the era of working for nameless corporations for free (Facebook, Instagram, Google…), I can start working for myself again.
