Are you the social media consumer or publisher?

A lot of people don’t get social media. They get caught up in it, because they are getting into the online conversation without engaging.
Reading can take a lot out of you, and make you forget what is your primary role on social media. You “get paid” to publish. It’s pretty simple. If you get caught up in reading other people status updates, you are the consumer, if you spend time updating status updates, you are the publisher.
Pareto Principle in Social Media
And Pareto principle works the same way in social media, as it does with anything else in nature, and in social life. And Pareto rules says: “20% creates 80%, and 80% consumes what those 20% create”.
What are you going to be?
That is the natural course of distribution. So the next time you get on social media, ask yourself, are you the consumer, or are you the publisher?
